WHY

Schools these days don't add up to me (hehe see what I did there "add up"), not only because half of the teachers actually hate their job, but also with what we actually learn.
Little kids always have that one question that starts out cute, but later makes you want to smack them.  "Why?"  Why do kids do that?  Because they are curious, they are learning new things and they are excited about it.  They want to know about everything.  Teachers, in return would always ask back.  They would ask us why things are the way they are, why do we think that, and why would you do that.  Asking why can be a beautiful thing.
So why do teachers not ask why anymore.  They give us facts, and we have to memorize these facts.  Especially in math and science.  We never have time to think about anything, other then the fact that we have to pick one equation that we were supposed to memorize.  We don't learn why it works, we just learn that it does.
From my own experience, the only class that actually makes me think is my English class of the year.  We have to think about what things mean, and why an author would say that.  We need to think about interpreting correctly, and how something can be said in different ways.  Why do we not do things like that in other classes.  WHY don't we learn HOW things are done?  Maybe this makes me a curious little kid again, but is that such a bad thing?

Love,

Passion Vs. Risk

I get it.  Some people are lazy, in fact I'm lazy a lot too.  I tend to get distracted by homework, and books, and television.  I like to have some time for myself so I don't go completely bonkers in the future (I think I'm already bonkers, but we are going to pretend that I'm not...) and to give my head a rest.  That doesn't mean I don't have goals for myself.  In fact, I have way to many goals for myself.  I want to graduate with technical honors, and get into the National Honor Society, go to Berklee University, become a composer and teacher.  I want to start a non for profit organization that gives money to the schools that need it for the arts.  I want to get married, and live a generally good life, and travel the world and take super tumblr-ishlike pictures.
The key to getting these goals accomplished is the passion I have for these things.  I love art and music, kids, teaching, learning, being creative, any of that kind of stuff feels like it's in my blood.  I don't want to be rich, that's not a goal.  I want to live a life worth remembering.  I work hard at what I do when I can, and I like the feeling of accomplishing things.  I want to know why some people don't try to do anything.  It's like saying you know what it is to be blind, but you don't even try walking in a blind person's shoes.   There is not an ounce of passion in some people.
They could be the next Mozart, and they wouldn't know it because they just don't try to have passion.
With all this passion, there does come a risk.  The one risk you face, is the risk of being wrong.  Maybe that's why so many people don't try, they think they are wrong.  I dare you to make mistakes though.  Without mistakes, you will never learn anything and you won't get a passion, you will not accomplish goals, and you won't live a life worth remembering.  That would be a shame.  Would you rather live with a million cats by yourself, or would you rather accidentally make a big mistake that could lead to bigger and better things.  Think about it...

Are you Passionate about something?  Yes?  Good, I respect you!  NO?  Go find one!  There is something out there for everyone.

EVERYTHING HAS RISKS!

Introductions

So I know that this is google and I know that no one is going to read this unless they accidentally click on it, and that if they do, then they won't actually care about what I am saying, but here I am doing it whether people are planning on reading this or not.
My name as far as you know is "Anon" short for anonymous.  This google account that it is under is also a pseudonym...More about my personality and random information about me is (you don't know my name so I can do this!)  that I am currently attending a boring high-school in a boring town that only cares about how good we look to the surrounding communities.  A lot of people decide that I am a hipster or just plain quirky...I don't see the hipster part, but I definitely see the quirky part.
The overall idea of this blog is because I am a bored teenager who has stuff to say, and no one listens to me in person.  That may be because I am rather short, and have nerdy glasses and braces that make me appear younger than I actually am, or it might be that people never take teenagers advice in general.  The posts I am putting on here are mainly going to be about music and being a teenager, but there will also be other stuff up here too.  The articles and posts are going to be written by teenagers, for teenagers.  Feel free to put your opinions out there if you can comment.
  Love,
Anon
